Birthday Card for my Son
My oldest son loved Steampunk when he was younger and when I bought this paper I thought of him. It is cool but best of all it is Ocean themed. I hope it doesn't seem girly though with the mermaid and all. The paper is by Graphic 45 and called Voyage Beneath the Sea. It is discontinued but someone was selling it and I was able to buy it. Have been looking for it for a long time! I feel lucky to have gotten it. I used Diamond Glaze on the gentleman and fish, fussy cut the coral and other items to make layers.

That lil Chihuahua Stamp

I love this stamp! I bought the whole sheet just for this one. It is by Hanna Stamps. I saw a card using a challenge called Blogger's Challenge, which this week is a color challenge. Baja Breeze, Red (I used riding hood red) & Chocolate Chip. Looks really good together so I jumped right on in. I think I am a challenge junkie. It is BC80 in case you wonder :) I was experimenting with different ways to use the curved rectangle Nestabilities die so this is what I came up with. It is similar to the Stampin Up! die but it nests (oh yeah!). I have a few more cards ready for this week so I should keep this blog hoppin' LOL! Have a great week :)

Happy New Year!

I want to wish you all a Happy and Blessed New Year! Here is my last card for the year. I wanted to try my new chunky glitter so this was a quick experiment. I think I may have to try other ways to use the glitter as the flower is kind of lost in this. I used the sticky embossing powder which worked really well. The lay-out is a sketch challenge I can't remember where but anyway just so you know :) That's all- gotta run my friend just arrived and we are going to hit the sales at AC Moore, Michaels and JoAnns! I am happy they are all in the same shopping center/vicinity! Have a safe evening and enjoy :)
