Magnolia-licious Christmas Year Round

For this card I was searching for a smaller Tilda stamp and found this one from last year's collection. She looks like she is waiting to open her Christmas presents! I wanted to color her jammies to match the paper using chalks. The paper is Stampin Up and the snowflake punch is from Martha Stewart. The circle and scallop circle are Nestabilities. I used Stickles on the snowflakes and her "wings".

I love how this ribbon sparkles! It is iridescent ribbon and comes in different colors.



I also love how these snowflakes sparkle too! I punched the snowflake out of the designer paper and then applied the stickles.

More Pink Christmas

 

I made this for the Magnolia-licious all year long Christmas Card Blog Hop, I had to use the pink theme again! I happen to love this shade of pink and since one of Stampin Up's Christmas paper sets has this color it makes me a happy camper :) The layout is a case, not my original design, just wanted y'all to know! The stamp is by Magnolia and I purchased her from Magnolia-licious online store. Isn't she precious?! I used one of the Spellbinder dies for the snowflakes and I usually use wax paper between the die and the paper to help remove the paper with these more intricate designs and it stuck to the pink snowflake. I thought it made a great look! So I adhered the wax paper to the snowflake die cut and it mutes the pink but at the same time it makes it sparkle and catches the light real well. You know I am all about sparkle LOL! I also used Stickles for the snow on the ground and the little spots around the tree in her hands. She is colored with water color crayons. The pink snowflake background is a Cuttlebug folder and the sentiment is on a Nestabilities die. The card is finished off with three pink rhinestone jewels on the bottom. Lilac Tilda

I have been a bad girl! I haven't posted a new card in a week. I have several things to share just not a lot of time to write all about them. You know how that goes I am sure! This is a card I made for our hostess of the Magnolia Card Kit Swap on SCS, Angela. She has been a wonderful hostess and I wanted to make something pretty for her. I love this designer paper by Stampin' Up, the colors are so pretty! Yes, another easel card, I really like these. It was fun to create and I hope you like it and I hope she liked it! I will keep this short so maybe I will have time to post more this week. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Year Round!

Magnolia-licious group is having a Christmas year round challenge. One Christmas card per month posted on the 25th of each month for a blog hop. I, being at CHA Craft and Hobby Show in Cal., was too overwhelmed yesterday when I got home to post it. I am sorry! I made the card two weeks ago thank goodness.

This is another easel card, they make such awesome cards because they stand up so easily.I absolutely love this card, I got the trees from Magnolia-licious, yes they are from Magnolia! They are the prettiest trees. I used liquid applique on the branches as I have seen several cards this way and really like it. That stuff is fun to play with! It really puffs up a lot. More than I expected! They are cut out and placed on pop-dots. The stamp is Silent Night Tilda and it may be out of stock at the moment at Magnolia-licious but if you email them they can tell you when it is coming back in, they get new stock all the time but once it is out of stock even momentarily the web-site doesn't show it even though they will have it again :)

I wasn't sure about this Tilda because of the poinsettia on a stick thing (must be something Swedish!) but it is gorgeous when colored! The coat, the snow flurries and her hair just make such a beautiful Winter/Christmas feel. She is one of my favorites now! The paper was such an inspiration too for the colors, it really makes this card pop. Well that is my entry to the Christmas year round! Hope you like it :)

Tilda's Christmas Scene

 

This card is one I have been wanting to make for a while now, the background pond stamp I purchased (actually I think I got it when I won free stamps from Diana at Magnolia-licious, thank you! click here for it) specifically for this skating Tilda and Edwin. I made the card 5" square but I think in order to get the perspective a little better a 6" card would work better. I colored the card with Stampin' Up markers this time - they don't blend easily but I wanted to give them a try so this would be brighter than with the water color crayons. Anyway it's just a nice Winter scene and a fun one to make. Hope you are taking some time to enjoy the season- stop for a minute and think what it is all about and what is really important. I have this year and am going to make some changes next year accordingly! Merry Christmas!
