Triple Waterfall Folio Lost in Paradise Graphic 45

Welcome to my updated blog! It is quite different looking so I hope it doesn't throw you off.  Anyway on to todays project:

Here is a Waterfall Folio that I made from scratch using the Graphic 45 Lost in Paradise paper collection. It is for a swap in the G45 swap group.  G45 does sell a premade blank folio for you to use but whats the fun in that when you can use chipboard and card stock (and lots of adhesive!) and make one yourself?  So here are pics of the process with my messy desk pad and then a link to my video of opening it and all of the pages.  It was a blast to make!  So much easier than the cards I make.  The paper does all the work, no stamping and coloring. I used a die by The Stamps of Life - the pineapple, I made the butterfly brad on the cover, made all the tags with dies that I have and fussy cut some of the pieces to layer.  Took me about 8 hours to make because I got interrupted so many times which is quite alright.  I am going to make another one it was so fun!  I am ordering Catch of the Day by G45 to do the next one.  Oh, I did this one with an 8x8 pack and no extra tags etc. Next time I am using a 12x12 pack- the amount of wasted paper from 8x8 is awful.  The 12x12 makes much more sense when creating an album like this.  I buy 8x8 for card making.  I am so proud of this!  Some things just come together right, you know?  Hope you like it (and I hope my swap gal does as well, cant wait to see what she sends me!)  Sneak peak of the inside but please see the video, it shows it quite well.

Christmas Cards continued

Snowy!  I plan to make a bunch of card with this beloved Penny Black Stamp.  I masked snowy then stamped the branches.  Watercolored the rest.  The second card is a case of a card from a gal on one of my Facebook card groups who has used the background paper on so many beautiful cards we all went out and bought "that paper"  Its from Hobby Lobby and is 12x12 and only 25 cents!  Its paper not card stock but that doesn't matter for this type of use.  I used my Stamp Simply Poinsettia dies and die cut Merry Christmas by The Stamps of Life.  There is a pretty snowflake embossing folder in the background from Cuttlebug, must be 15 years old.  Glad to use old stuff!

Continued Christmas Cards

These are the other ones I made this weekend with my Stamps of Life club kits. I love snow globes! I think we all do, so many stamp companies have them for sale. This one is well thought out by Stephanie and the accessories for it are great! The first is a shaker card, the dies are made for a shaker so super easy. The last one is the gnomes set from a couple months ago made into Christmas theme. The card idea came from another stamping group with a gnome from their company. Another popular theme a lot of stamp companies are selling.

Starting Christmas Cards for 2020

I have been receiving my monthly club kits from The Stamps of Life and the last two have been Christmas themed. I have been seeing a lot of really cute cards with them so I have been inspired to get crafting! Starting with the Polar Bear:

Turtles

This is the stamp and die set for May for The Stamps of Life. I think her stuff is super cute! I have a hard time using it though because I don't have the right people to send it to that likes the cutesie stuff like this. Also I have a hard time keeping in the theme! I always want to make it look more realistic but this time I decided to stop, just stop at this and see if it will work. What do you think? Does it need more or something different?

Kitty Cat Card

This is a Case of a card however I didn't have the same of anything! Different Cat stamp, background, flowers - all what I had on hand that was similar. It's another fun card! By the way the background stencil is from The Stamps of Life, it is awesome. I used watercolors with a water brush to basically smear the blue color all over it and when I took the stencil off I was so pleased. Definitely going to use this again!

A couple TSOL Cards

This card is from The Stamps Of Life card class last month. I ordered the set and then did the card with Stephanie Barnard on the Youtube video. That was fun! She is so entertaining. So this card is not original by any stretch of the imagination. I did make the card a fold-it. The basket definitely could be an Easter Card. I don't have any Easter sentiments that aren't religious! I need to look around and order something for these type of cards.

The second card is a CASE and I just wanted to do a spinner card. I think I am not keeping this set, I just have no use for piƱatas and tacos! It is a club set so I never know what I am getting each month. Most of the time I love them! Its cute and I love the colors. Definitely needs a sentiment.
