Birthday Cards for Donation

Hello!  I am posting a bunch of cards today that I made last week for donating to a couple groups.  I am in a group of gals that stamp together almost weekly and we make cards for two groups, Angels Attic which is an upscale resale store of which the profits go to various worthy charities.  The other is Wonderful Wednesdays with Women, a group I am in at my church that is an all age women's weekly meeting.  Both of these groups send out birthday cards to all the members and volunteers and rather than they buy cards we provide them!  It's fun and I love these ladies that I stamp with, we have a lot of fun.  We do make bulk cards together in an assembly line type production but I don't have those card pictures to post right now.  So these I made on my own at home while I was trying to get over this bronchitis and sinus infection mess.

I have several more cards I am posting tomorrow that are a different variety.  Thanks for looking!  Once again my disclaimer is I am often CASEing cards from Pinterest etc.  Some of these are my own this time though.

Sketch Challenge

I am entering My Favorite Things sketch challenge - 419. Those cute owls again! All stamps MFT, all dies except hearts are MFT. Paper is Doodlebug Designs. Cloud stencil is also MFT.  MFTWSC419

Cute Owls

This is another stamp and die set from My Favorite Things. It is a CASE of a card on Pinterest. So fun to make!  I’ve been using my Prismacolor pencils lately. I watched a video on YouTube and realized I wasn’t coloring enough layers and learned a blending technique. I am getting better but I would like to get even better!  Never got the hang of Copics.  I sponged the clouds with my new stencil.

Winter Bird

I just got this stamp and wanted to watercolor it to see how it would turn out. Was really quite easy to color and being a larger image, I just die cut the image and the mat and done. It is by Penny Black and called pretty perch.

Sweet birds!

Here are the new little bird cards I made!  Love these precious birds. From My Favorite Things, I made the same cards they used as examples. I thought they were so great I had to make them myself.

Finally a few days to make cards!

I keep very busy - as many of you do I am sure!  It takes a week like between Christmas and New Years where kids are out of school, my church activities are shut down and it’s raining so much there is no practice for my son.  So all in one post here are my cards that I have had so much fun and enjoyment making.  These are the cards that give me joy, the cute Yetis and the Sloth! I just got in some precious birds that I have made a couple cards with and will post next.   I am not sure they are the type to send out to people at my age LOL! But never the less they are cute.  Also, I have CASEd these from Pinterest, most are not my original designs.  Most of the stamps and dies are My Favorite Things.

I thought about  making different posts for these cards but I think to save time I will just put them all in one post.  I am not making any money off of my blog so it doesn't really matter!  So the first two are a stamp and die from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I used a Stamping Up wood background stamp also.

The next card is once again dies and stamps from My Favorite Things (except the HB die - was a gift from a friend).

The last one is a copy of a card on the My Favorite Things site.  It is a shaker card I made for my friend's birthday.  I thought it was so cool I had to make it!

For a friend

I have a friend who's birthday is coming up and she has limited sight.  She can see contrast so I tried to make a card that was just contrasting colors in hopes she can see it!  I usually use printed paper etc. but this is very plain and I am not sure I am thrilled with that part of it but I do hope this works for her!  The flowers are dies from My Favorite Things.

Paisley Peacock

This stamp and die set is from Heartfelt Creations as well as the flowers.  I used Prismacolor pencils, extra fine glitter, Prills in the center of the flowers, Justrite die, pink twine and the paper I sponged the edges with vintage photo ink.

Prismacolor Pencils on Black Card Stock

I watched a Gina K video of this technique and did it along with her.  It was fun!  I've not made a card during a video and it seemed like I was stamping with her LOL!  Anyway I used gold embossing powder and then colored with the pencils.  Since they are wax and not water based it is interesting, more vibrant and on black easier to blend.

Hidden Letter Card

I am not sure what the technique is called but it looks like hidden letters to me so that is what I am calling it.  The letters are on pop dots.  The stamp is by Penny Black, called effulgent.  The dies are by My Favorite Things.
