Christmas Card - Snowman and Girl

This is another MFT stamp and die set. I dontremember who makes the tree die in the background but I used a piece of press and seal to lay it on so I could straighten all the trunks before gluing it down. I would have had glue everywhere! especially since it would mess up my ink blended background. So glad someone came up with that idea.

The dog stamp is called Blizzard and the bunny, tree and slope die are from MFT My Favorite Things.

Christmas Card - Many Snowy Cards

Here are several cards made with the Penny Black stamp Snowy. I am making cards for an Angel Project. I am finally getting the hang of alcohol markers and ink blending backgrounds. The problem I have had with both of these is just not using enough and going over it again and again! I put these in one post since they are all so similar.

Christmas Card - Shaker Snow Globe Card

The stamp in the globe is by Gina K Designs, the paper and sentiment are from Stampin Up. Z-Fold card, I am loving how this turned out! I struggle with this stamp, it is much bigger and I cant quite color it right with the trees being solid black or whatever color you stamp this with, and the whole top is mountains so you cant color a sky. It just boggles me but I can color the cabin! plus add shadows in the snow. However when I cut it down to fit the globe it is perfect.

This is a CASE of a card that I saw on Pinterest using this Gnome set from Stampin Up. I love this Gnome die! No coloring, you can use pattern paper for the hat etc. and its just cute. The paper from this set is so pretty, uses my favorite colors. I am making a bunch of cards with this. I even bought a second pack of paper, I never do that!

Christmas Card - Box Card (folds flat)

Love these penguins! Stampin Up. I am going to make more cards like this, the box is easy to make and it really does lie flat with a belly band holding it of course. If anyone would like I can post links to the videos I watch to get directions. Just post a comment and I will start doing this.

Christmas Card - Spinner Interlocking X Fun Fold

Two pieces of card stock cut on opposite folds and slide together. Simple. Well to me anyway, a lot of my card making friends have a bit of a struggle with all of these fancy cards. I get it, they used to be a struggle for me as well but I have been doing them so long now they have become my obsession! I am always on the search for new ones. My favorite gal, Jan B has taken a break from making her youtube videos and I really miss her. Anyway this one is using the new Gnome Suite from Stampin Up. The part with the most work is cutting the layers and putting together the spinner.

Christmas Card- Shadow Box

A one layer shadow box card, had fun with these critter stamps. Lies flat to put in an envelope. This is a random Recollections stamp set I picked up one year on clearance. Turned out to be a nice set but there are no dies which means fussy cutting - of which I am not a fan. This was a fun card to make now that I am getting the hang of coloring with alcohol markers.

Christmas Card - Snowy

This Penny Black stamp called Snowy is a classic! Google Pinterest and you will see just how many cards are made with him. He even has a family. This was the easiest one of these type cards to make. Measurements are straight forward. I like the size of the front panel on this and much easier to make all of the pieces.

Christmas Card- Gift Card Pop-Up Gift Bag

Not sure what this is called, my new stamping friend made it elsewhere and showed it to me so I copied it. When you open the card the gift bag pops up and has room for a gift card. It has a belly band to hold it closed (not shown here).

Christmas Card - Tunnel Box Card

This card was not all that hard- it has an ingenius way to hold the right side in place. The difficult part for me was designing the layers with critters and trees!

Christmas Card - Step Layered

I love this card! I call it a faux step card because your just glue on the steps or boxes instead of cutting the paper in a step pattern. I have done both and honestly one doesnt take less time than the other but I like this one better. I think it appeals to my love for symetry. I used some adorable paper from Doodlebug called let it snow and then the Penguin set from Stampin Up. Folds flat nicely.
