Triple Waterfall Folio Lost in Paradise Graphic 45

Welcome to my updated blog! It is quite different looking so I hope it doesn't throw you off.  Anyway on to todays project:

Here is a Waterfall Folio that I made from scratch using the Graphic 45 Lost in Paradise paper collection. It is for a swap in the G45 swap group.  G45 does sell a premade blank folio for you to use but whats the fun in that when you can use chipboard and card stock (and lots of adhesive!) and make one yourself?  So here are pics of the process with my messy desk pad and then a link to my video of opening it and all of the pages.  It was a blast to make!  So much easier than the cards I make.  The paper does all the work, no stamping and coloring. I used a die by The Stamps of Life - the pineapple, I made the butterfly brad on the cover, made all the tags with dies that I have and fussy cut some of the pieces to layer.  Took me about 8 hours to make because I got interrupted so many times which is quite alright.  I am going to make another one it was so fun!  I am ordering Catch of the Day by G45 to do the next one.  Oh, I did this one with an 8x8 pack and no extra tags etc. Next time I am using a 12x12 pack- the amount of wasted paper from 8x8 is awful.  The 12x12 makes much more sense when creating an album like this.  I buy 8x8 for card making.  I am so proud of this!  Some things just come together right, you know?  Hope you like it (and I hope my swap gal does as well, cant wait to see what she sends me!)  Sneak peak of the inside but please see the video, it shows it quite well.

Easter Card

I wanted to try this card style called corner flip card and it really was easy! I looked up directions on pinterest. This paper and dogwood flowers are from Stampin Up called Forever Blossoms. The Easter Blessings is from The Stamps of Life and the cross is a die from Spellbinders.

Coffee & Friends Card

I made this for a good friend who I met for coffee for quite a while but then she moved! I miss our coffee chats. This was made with Doodlebug Cream and Sugar paper pack and Simon Says Stamp set called Coffee and Tea. This set is a little older  but timeless! Masculine Get Well Card

This is one of my favorite Stampin' Up! stamp and die sets!  It makes such a great card for a guy.  The paper is matching for the set as well.  Water colored the stamps and die cut them.

Get Well Cards

I volunteered to make cards to sell at my neighborhood annual craft fair.  All proceeds go to charity.  They have raised $250,000 over the years!  I made about 30 cards and one of my card making friends made 25 which was very nice!  Seems people need a lot of get well and sympathy cards lately.  First card is a Penny Black stamp, second card is stamps and dies by Stampin' Up! and third card is "that paper".

Thanksgiving Card and Friend Card

The first card is made with Stampin' Up! paper that I water colored.  The stamp is an old Stampin' Up! sentiment as well.  The second card is a Thanksgiving card.  I water colored a piece of paper in red, orange, yellow and green then used some leaf dies and die cut them out.  Slimline cards, I really like them!

Christmas Cards continued

Snowy!  I plan to make a bunch of card with this beloved Penny Black Stamp.  I masked snowy then stamped the branches.  Watercolored the rest.  The second card is a case of a card from a gal on one of my Facebook card groups who has used the background paper on so many beautiful cards we all went out and bought "that paper"  Its from Hobby Lobby and is 12x12 and only 25 cents!  Its paper not card stock but that doesn't matter for this type of use.  I used my Stamp Simply Poinsettia dies and die cut Merry Christmas by The Stamps of Life.  There is a pretty snowflake embossing folder in the background from Cuttlebug, must be 15 years old.  Glad to use old stuff!

Christmas Cards

The top card is a new stamp from Gina K.  I inked it with versa fine and then heat embossed with clear EP.  Water colored and die cut Noel and placed on with pop dots.  The second card is the Reindeer from My Favorite Things.

More Christmas Cards

I am playing with slimline cards, this one is 4x9 inches.  I used MFT stamps and mountain dies with some embossed snowflakes in the background.  The close up shows the detail stitching in the snow bank and the mountains. The next is a combo of the MFT set and The The Stamps of Life set.  The snow globe is TSOL and is a shaker card again.  I have a whole bunch planned so I am going to continue the series.

Continued Christmas Cards

These are the other ones I made this weekend with my Stamps of Life club kits. I love snow globes! I think we all do, so many stamp companies have them for sale. This one is well thought out by Stephanie and the accessories for it are great! The first is a shaker card, the dies are made for a shaker so super easy. The last one is the gnomes set from a couple months ago made into Christmas theme. The card idea came from another stamping group with a gnome from their company. Another popular theme a lot of stamp companies are selling.
