Birthday Card

Sorry I have been MIA! I try to post a couple times a week but the week got by me this time. Here is a simple card using the sketch challenge from SCS a couple of weeks ago. I just wanted to make a nice birthday card in less than an hour. This is the same paper I made the last project out of, still had it out and liked this print :) I punched the flowers out of the designer paper too. There is a little gemstone in the middle of the flower and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up. I think this is one of my favorite Tilda's, she is just precious!

Card Box

Here is another one of those projects I love to make! This is that other template I bought from Paper Trey created by Lauren Meader. Very cool and the template worked perfect. This one is big enough to hold A2 sized cards on each side plus envelopes. I made one card to match to show you how it fits.

The paper is from last year's Stampin' Up collection, I was saving it for special use - and then forgot I had it! I always tend to want to "save" my pretty paper which makes no sense because there is always new pretty paper coming out. The base is more mustard and chocolate chip. Of course I had to use one of my new Magnolia stamps, this Tilda has the cutest little outfit and hair style. I used 3 different Nestabilities shapes under her with alternating patterns of the paper. The Cutest little Vampire

Here is the other half of the card kit that I posted yesterday. The image of the cute vampire, the moon brads, the ribbon and the bat border below are from the kit. I really got a lot of use out of that card kit! He is the cutest vampire I have ever seen! I get a kick out of him holding the garlic. He is a Hanglar and Stanglar stamp which remind me of the Magnolia stamps because they don't have a mouth and have such cute faces. This is colored with water color crayons. I just had to use purple inside his cape and of course had to add stickles to it :) The bats are stamped and cut out. The paper is from that same Halloween paper set - Niki Sivils Boo-Tiful. I still have plenty left to make more and it was a 6 x 6 packet! The sentiment I made on the computer because I wanted a round stamp that said Happy Halloween that is an inch or less in size and can't find one. I would love to create a whole bunch of one inch circle stamps of all the seasons sentiments etc. because I would rather use them on all of my cards. I can always figure out how to fit a one inch circle on my card whereas I have such a hard time with the longer and bigger sentiments. So when all else fails make one! Have a great day :)

5 Minute Card

You may have seen this already but I had to share it because she is fabulous! She makes a "30 second" card in 5 minutes (or so) and cracks me up. Magnolia Swap Card Kit

I just love this paper! I received this kit from round 3 of the Magnolia Kit swap. This one was put together by Deb :) When I saw the pumpkins in the paper I just had to use my Tilda with pumpkin image! The kit has the most adorable vampire stamp though, it is a Hanglar & Stanglar image and I used it immediately after this card. It came out adorable and I will post it next.

Back to this card! So I am trying to use the paper without covering it up too much and last week's sketch challenge on splitcoast worked real well for this. The ribbon is perfect too! I had the pumpkin button and cut the shank off plus I stamped the pumpkin on the lower left side from my friend Yvonne's wonderful collection. I colored everything with SU markers and then outlined the pumpkins with Smooch Ink in the color "pumpkin". That stuff is so sparkly, love it! The sentiment is also from Yvonne - I stamped it then used the Spellbinders fancy tag but I cut the swirly ends off as they didn't seem to work with the style of this card. So there we have it! Haunted House

This was so much fun! It is a kit of foam pieces that Michael's is selling for kids. It is around $20 which is too much to me but with the coupon it is well worth the cost. My 7 1/2 year old son worked on this after school (in 20 minute or so sessions by choice) all week. All I did was put the walls together with him, glued them and then once it set he went to town on it. He just looked at the picture and followed it some and made some changes that he liked - like the eyes on the roof of the house and he painted on the eyebrows! It came out great! He even made the turret and roof all by himself I just gave him the hint of tying rubber bands around them until the glue dried. At the end he and I put the glitter on the shingles and put them on but really that's about all I did other than stand there and encourage him. He loves it and is so proud of it and so am I.

Swap Card for Tri (Fold) Shutter Cards

I made 4 of these for the swap, the card itself is extremely easy to make but cutting all those little bits of paper sure is time consuming! It is fun though. I decided to go with a Christmas theme, my first Christmas card of the season. The pretty designer paper is from Stampin Up, and the card stock is real red. The snowflakes are dies from Cuttlebug, I cut them in garden green, real red and chocolate chip then put chunky glitter on them. The sentiment is on cardstock using a Nestie die, barely fit though! The Stickles are on the snowflakes in the sentiment. Of course it's Tilda again :) She is from last year's Winter collection. It is really hard to tell but I used fun flock in white on the trim, collars and hat and it's nice and fuzzy. That's it! I hope the recipients like my entry :)

Halloween Card for World Card Making Day

This is the other card I made for World Card Making Day. I had colored this cutie pie last week and couldn't decide if I liked the green skin or not! My husband says it looks like she is gong to puke. Hmmmm, well I decided it made her look very witch like so I used it. Besides the purple is so nice with the green! This is that same Halloween paper pack again, it is perfect. The green and purple circles were just right for my green Tilda LOL! Oh and yesterday I found these awesome buttons at Hobby Lobby and cut the shanks off- used two of them on this card. The boot and hat. There are several more cute ones in the pack I will use in upcoming cards. The sentiment is from one of those dollar stamp sets. You probably noticed that I used others in the set on cards recently. Lastly I just used the Stampin Up oval punches as they are a little smaller than the Nesties ovals and sometimes you need that :)

Easel Card

Yesterday was world card making day. I made two cards (if I had started earlier I would have made them all day!) and this is the first one. Magnolia-licious is having a challenge of making an Easel Card and you know me, I have to make any card that isn't standard and flat LOL! So here is my entry.

The Tilda by Magnolia is from the Fall collection called Yummy For Your Tummy. The designer paper is from Basic Grey - Porcelain. I used Labels 4 Nestabilities behind the main focal image by making the horizontal one smaller then the vertical one which kept the oval shape. The ovals are a mix of Stampin Up punches and Nesties. The border punch is by Martha Stewart. The flowers and buttons came in a kit together and then I just added the pearls on top. Tilda is colored with Prismacolor pencils.
