Birdhouse Card Set

I went to a Stampin Up workshop a few weeks ago and made this adorable birdhouse card set! She ordered the directions from another demo who creates these things up and sells them, what a cool idea! It took a good 2 - 3 hours but it was fun. It holds the 4 cards you see and the roof opens with a little velcro tab. Just too cute! As you know by now I love making these things, I have another small project I hope to work on this week but I have quite a bit to do before our annual trip to Myrtle Beach. That's it for today :)

  1. I would just LOVE to know how to make one of these darling sets. I've been doing an apprenticeship with a licensed songbird rehab lady this summer and this would be such a great "thank you" gift for her. Is there any way you could post some simple directions? Thanks...Pat

  2. Hi Pat! Thanks! I don't have the directions but I can tell you that we used Stampin Up chipboard set and covered all the birds and flowers with paper. The box is about 7 inches tall with an open top and about 4 inches wide. The top is just a piece of paper folded in half and the bottom is just a piece of flat paper centered underneath to give it support. The stamp set is from Stampin Up too for the cards. The cards are 3 x 6. Hope that helps, I will get the name of the creator and give you her blog address in another comment here once I find out. Thanks!

  4. Thanks Carol! OK to order the directions or to see the original go here: http://gretchenbarron.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/04/so-tweet-birdhouse-boxed-set-of-cards.html

My demo ordered and paid for the directions and wants to be sure the creator gets the credit. Apparently some people get upset, not saying that she would.
