Masculine card

I saw this card on either Splitcoast or a blog and thought now that is a perfect masculine birthday card! I had a similar map stamp and some ribbon close enough and a button and birthday stamp similar so here it is almost an exact CASE! Very fast card to make and I just think it is cool :) Oh and yes, that is a stamp, I used crumb cake ink on crumb cake card stock and it almost looks like a picture I just adhered to the card front. I think it is a cool effect. The brown card stock layer and the birthday ink is early espresso. The card base is vanilla.

Work in Progress

Here is a card I started today, worked on it on and off as I had a minute here and there. I just can't decide what stamp to use for the image! So here it sits, a work in progress. Nothing is glued down, just cut. Hmmmm. Come on back when I post the finished card!

Flower Bird

This is a nice little card I started from an example and just had fun creating. The stamp of the bird with the flowers in it just seemed to match this paper so well! I punched the flowers and sponged them to match the paper and sponged the edges of the layers with crumb cake ink. I used my Creative Memories wave cutter for the green border. The card base is crumb cake card stock, the layers are more mustard and old olive and the designer paper is the K&Co. pack I use so often. The bird is stamped with more mustard ink. Thanks for stopping by!

Mouse with Sunflower

Here it is! The new Stampavie Stamp by Tina Wenke "Mouse with Sunflower". It is so adorable, last month when they had their blog hop for her birthday several people used this stamp for their card and I fell in love with it. This card is not a case either! I know, surprise :) I try. I used my new Nestabilities die label 10, it is kind of hard to see since it is red pattern paper on a busy pattern background but one of the reasons I got this die is because it looks so nice with pearls or jewels in the three curves on each end.

So I finally figured out how to add a flower to it (see my last post). I went through all of my Prima flowers and other paper and such flowers and nada. So I punched the flower from the same pattern paper and had this idea to put a tag coming from the brad in the middle. Yes, also original idea! I used Stampin Up chalks to color this image. I haven't used my chalks in a long time and I have never used a water color painter with them. I am quite pleased with how it turned out. The pattern designer paper is K & Co. called Classic K Bailey. Thanks for taking a look!

More Flower cards!

Here are more cases of some beautiful flower cards I have collected. I am having so much fun making these! So quick, easy and pretty. I would be proud to send these out. This is where there is a card case of Beate, I think it is the second card. I need to find a better way to give credit where credit is due. Next post I have an adorable Stampavie mouse card I am working on, it is a lot of coloring like the Tildas and it is done except I am trying to figure out what I need to add to it. It has been sitting on my desk now for three days and I am hoping the light will come on tomorrow LOL! I always have placement issues with adding flowers or some embellishments. We will see! Thank you for checking out my flower cards :)

Thinking of the Beach

I love this stamp by Impression Obsession, it just reminds me of my childhood going to the beach in New England. I only lived there until I was 9 but this image brings it all back. The swimming lessons in the ocean, the park on the hill with the giant willow trees, picking bike locks with a little boy who taught me (my only foray into that - didn't steal them!), the little candy and ice cream store that seemed to be such a long walk as a child (it was only a couple minutes away!) and of course becoming a good enough swimmer to swim "all the way" to the floating raft (and getting tangled in the eel grass on the way). Fun memories! OK all that to show you this card :) Hope you like!

Flowers, flowers, flowers!

I am having a blast with flower cards lately! I got so into the Tilda cards which are so involved with so much coloring that I got tired of making cards and lost the joy of a quick simple creation. Don't get me wrong, once in a while I like to color and I love Tilda but these have been so easy and pretty I am loving them! All of these cards are cases, I made the usual changes of paper, color, stamp set but the cards aren't my own ideas. I know one of these is from a designer for Gina K. , she used Gina's stamp of course and I used Stampin Up. I think one of these is from a card made by Beate, oh my she always does beautiful work! So all in all they are just beautiful flowers and I enjoyed every minute of making them :)
