Prisma on Kraft

So here I am again using Prismacolor pencils on Kraft cardstock. The colors pop so much more on Kraft, I really love the look!  I am working on blending, still not completely happy with my work yet but getting better. From a distance this card really pops!

Valentine Cards

A couple of CASEs I did this week. I used what I had that was close to the originals.  I ordered heart dies recently, already using them.  The second one I wanted to use my BFF stamp instead of love you plus I added a little tag.  Just fun to create!  Thanks for looking!

Here are some pretty cards I am kinda proud of. The first is heat embossed in gold then water colored. Flower stamps are Stampin Up. The second is also water colored and die cut, from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. The third is an AltNew stamp in ink, three different layers on top of each other for the effect. All theee CASE’d. Valentine's Card

I made this card for my hubby for Valentine's Day.  It is a CASE from Pinterest and the stamps are from Art Impressions.  I watched a youtube video of a gal who uses Prismacolor pencils for her work, which I might add is absolutely amazing work.  Anyway she gave some hints on coloring with them and I have been trying it out. So far this is my best outcome.  I'm working on shading and blending. I never got the hang of Copics.  I do pretty well with watercolors and go to them a lot, or I use markers with a water brush or distress ink with a water brush.  I like these pencils due to not having to use water.  I learned I was just not coloring enough layers or using a heavy enough stroke, when you layer you can blend.  Ha!  Same as Copics but to me much easier.  Anyway thats just me, I"m not really that talented (I've been making cards for 16 years and wish I was better at coloring!) but I work at it.

Card Variety

Back again, here are more cards.  I have been home a lot because I've been sick and actually had time to make cards.  So for two weeks now I have been having fun in my craft room!  I have bought a couple stamp sets with Sloths because my hubby and I love them.  I am getting better at coloring them but really there isn't too much you can do, just shades of brown really. They make cute cards though.  The first one is from My Favorite Things and the other sloth is by Art Impressions. The owls are MFT also.  The branch flowers and bird are from Penny Black.  I think that covers it! Oh the owl one is a sketch challenge I just found a couple of weeks ago called freshly made sketches and they come out every Wednesday like MFT's sketch.  So now I have two sketches a week for fun card making!  These are good because then I make original cards.

Birthday Cards for Donation

Hello!  I am posting a bunch of cards today that I made last week for donating to a couple groups.  I am in a group of gals that stamp together almost weekly and we make cards for two groups, Angels Attic which is an upscale resale store of which the profits go to various worthy charities.  The other is Wonderful Wednesdays with Women, a group I am in at my church that is an all age women's weekly meeting.  Both of these groups send out birthday cards to all the members and volunteers and rather than they buy cards we provide them!  It's fun and I love these ladies that I stamp with, we have a lot of fun.  We do make bulk cards together in an assembly line type production but I don't have those card pictures to post right now.  So these I made on my own at home while I was trying to get over this bronchitis and sinus infection mess. 

I have several more cards I am posting tomorrow that are a different variety.  Thanks for looking!  Once again my disclaimer is I am often CASEing cards from Pinterest etc.  Some of these are my own this time though.

Cute Owls

This is another stamp and die set from My Favorite Things. It is a CASE of a card on Pinterest. So fun to make!  I’ve been using my Prismacolor pencils lately. I watched a video on YouTube and realized I wasn’t coloring enough layers and learned a blending technique. I am getting better but I would like to get even better!  Never got the hang of Copics.  I sponged the clouds with my new stencil.

Winter Bird

I just got this stamp and wanted to watercolor it to see how it would turn out. Was really quite easy to color and being a larger image, I just die cut the image and the mat and done. It is by Penny Black and called pretty perch.

Finally a few days to make cards!

I keep very busy - as many of you do I am sure!  It takes a week like between Christmas and New Years where kids are out of school, my church activities are shut down and it’s raining so much there is no practice for my son.  So all in one post here are my cards that I have had so much fun and enjoyment making.  These are the cards that give me joy, the cute Yetis and the Sloth! I just got in some precious birds that I have made a couple cards with and will post next.   I am not sure they are the type to send out to people at my age LOL! But never the less they are cute.  Also, I have CASEd these from Pinterest, most are not my original designs.  Most of the stamps and dies are My Favorite Things.
